Hi Guys,
I'm in the process of removing my "tired" 4 speed overdriven rover box to replace it with a 5 speed unit I've picked up through the CRC.
I need a prop specialist in the North Beds/South Cambs area, any ideas??
I intend to obtain a Range Rover prop and have it chopped about & the Jag flange welded onto the back end. The reason being is that when the 5 speed box goes into the car I will end up with a flange at either end. Using the R/Rover prop will allow me to retain the central spline for the play necessary.
If anyone has a better idea/experience, please post a reply!!!!!
Thanks in advance,
Ian.

The i/p flange on a Jag diff are exactly the same as the o/p flange on a Rover box (and also any Range Rover/Discovery/Defender) So you just need a Land Rover prop thats long enough and get it shortened. Use a rear prop by preference because they are much bigger diameter (although diameter isn't strictly a issue with the short props we use).

I have a Dax supplied shortened prop for 5 speed rover to Jag diff-going spare. Came off my supertube chassis.(now run T5)
Might be worth a call to Dax to ensure all chassis use same prop length (think they do).
This unit has sliding adjustment built in.
If its any good to you let me know.
I used a place in luton for my new unit Reco-Prop (UK) Ltd. 01582 412110. They were very good.
