AC Cobra Kit Car

Higher End Kit Car Reproduction. Excellent Handling & Acceleration

VERY reluctant sale due to house move. Will prefer to sell to enthusiast

An excellent example of a 2.3litre V6 Ford Pilgrim Sumo Kit Car. Built mainly from the Ford Granada / Sierra. Resprayed 2 years ago to ocean Blue Colour (cost £2000) Very clean. No Marks Dints or Scratches*. Has been built & tested to SVA specification (hence no Q plate) but since it has recently been rebuilt since no longer has cert. 12 months MOT & Tax. Vehicle has only been run in Dry.

Answers to some of the questions from the last advert:

The car comes fitted with a cockpit cover but there isnít a roof.

There is plenty of space in the engine compartment for a V8

The SVA testing isnít compulsory Ė The car has an MOT

The car is fitted with a Sony Stereo

The chassis has been treated against rust

The car has been stripped to chassis and all the bushes replaced and re seated. The gear box hasnít been rebuilt neither has the engine

(they are both in fantastic order)

The interior of the car is Grey Leather with the same trim on the dashboard

The car has a racing lockable fuel cap

The car doesnít have hallibrand wheels however the wheels supplied suit the car

*A Small Scratch has appeared but will be refinished before sale

(my son swears he doesnít know anything about this, however the brake handle on his bike has a blue tinge)

Just had suspension rebalanced, engine tuned, new front tyres, oil service and new front break callipers.

Excellent looking car

Thats one of the best descriptions of a Sumo I have seen, top end, I always had an idea they were, its you guys with Dax, GD and Ak who fooled us

So good it did not even need an SVA, what can you say:whatever:

It does say in the advert that it has been built AND TESTED to SVA specification :)

Built and tested to specification, so what happen to the cert? all rather strange.

The car has an MOT and does not need SVA testing

Its a minger

I think the words PILE OF S!!T spring to mind.If you can build a TOP END SPEC Sumo and not require an SVA then tell me how.

I would have put a link but 1) I think the original text is better. & 2) I don,t know how(were not all computer wizz kids)You can always put a link if you want.

1) I ment a link to the original text (I now only got the text and no images etc.)...
2) Just select the original link, copy the selected text to the clipboard and paste it in the edit window (it is as simple as that)...

Here is the link for the ones that want to have a look at the original add without having to search ebay:

Regards / Bowtie the computer wizz "kid" :D

I take it the "Computer whizz kid" signiture is here to stay :)

Anyway, who put my car on e-bay:-(

If this is the same car, it is only half a mile from where I live. I have not seen the car but only heard about it`s existence. A bit of a plonker by the sounds of it, but, if he is desperate to sell, and I have been informed that his wife has told him it has to go, so it could go very cheaply. If anybody is interested I can get more info.

Having now looked at the car it doesn't look to me like it is a pilgrim unless it's a very early one. the bonnet doesn't look right and the petrol cap is in the "wrong" place. If it was an early model then wouldn't it have a backwards opening bonnet?

08-08-04, 10:29 PM
Wow is that you're car!!!!!!!!!!!! It's nearly as bad as mine!!!!!!!!!
What do you think it is then (apart from the obvious).Isuppose it might be ok for spares

09-08-04, 01:01 AM
No my mistake, its got a windscreen, just sounded like mine :D

09-08-04, 07:40 AM
I may be wrong, but I suspect that what the guy means is that it was built and registered pre SVA, but would pass if tested?

09-08-04, 10:20 AM
I dont think the poor chap has a clue what he is trying to say, lets hope its all ok for whoever buys it :D

It doesn't look TOO bad.

Not sure he'd get much air through that bonnet scoop thought, but with a dinky V6 who cares?
