Hi,
I'm rebuilding a 3.5 litre Rover V8 to go into my Mark III Pilgrim Sumo. I seem to remember reading in one of the kit car magazines about a rocker cover kit you could get which lets you add proper Cobra branded rocker covers onto the Rover V8. I've COMPLETELY forgotten where I read this and was wondering if any of you could tell me if you know the company which does this? Or did I just imagine it?

Cheers,

John

No your not imagining it.

I read in the last issue of Snake Torque that Hawk have started to make adaptor plates so Ford rocker covers, and for chevy covers try Pop Browns.

Hope this helps,
Warney

Excellent, thank you for your help and quick reply. Just one question though! What is Pop Browns? Sorry to sound dumb...

John Hammond used to advertise in ST that he made Cobra cast alloy rocker covers for Rover engine. His number is 01268 710 083

"Pop" Brown is one of the old partners who used to make the original Python replica and who now runs a Hot Rod mail order business. He is very helpful and knowledgeable guy, but I was not aware he did Cobra rocker covers for Rovers - but of course he may. 01279 412 794

Those covers on ebay sold for 59. Seems a bit silly when you can get them new for 65...

i bought the cover plates from ebay and have changed my plans, what you need to remeber is that 59 includes the brand new plates with all fittings still in sealed bag includes delivery and vat.

i believe that pop browns are plus postage saving 15 at least for the same item in the same condition.

anyway ramble over, they are for sale in the classifieds if anyone wants them.

cheers
