Hi to all, got my Dax kit at long last, went upto Harlow on Wednesday to fetch it all, what a trip that was (12hrs 45mins round trip with no stops). The lorry was restricted to 57 mph. I have had to make a frame to support the body as my garage is a bit small, but it also makes a handy work bench. Thanks to AndyI for your wheels and your advice mate I sure I will need alot more of the latter in the many months/years to come. Let the fun begin. Cheers Garry

Thinking of a Dax Build

Posted 17-02-10 at 05:21 PM by garry

Hi all I would like to introduce myself, I have been a member of this site for 2 years now and this is my first blog!! Not bad going ah....

I am now in a position to start a Cobra build. Going to various shows and speaking to various manufactors and of course reading this great site I have decided to do a Dax Build. I have a starting budget of about £16,000 and I am thinking of a De Dion Chassis with a 383 stroker and a tremac gear box. I plan to go up to the Dax Factory in March and place my order for a rolling chassis which I will put together myself.

So any hints or suggestions will be greatly received.

Thanks Garry.
