Dax sidepipe dismantling Pt1

Right, Lets see if this works. If anyone's still living in the stone age on dial up modems I apologise for the pictures.

I remove my pipes and baffles in the following manner....

1. Remove the screw securing the rear tail pipe section to the outer pipe.


2. Remove the rusty screw at the front that you thought was made of stainless steel.


3. Undo the nuts on the top and bottom of the rear mounting.


4. Support the sidepipe in the middle with a tin of paint and some boxes of rover V8 piston rings. Remove the rear rubber mount from between the pipe and bracket. It will come out if you move the pipe a bit.


5. start wiggling, tugging and swearing at the tail pipe until it slips out the back of the pipe.



6. Now you can see the M5 nut I welded inside here.
