Dax sidepipes 3" to 4" outlets Pt 1

Not sure if anyone else fancies trying this but this is instructions on how I changed the little 3" outlets on the Dax sidepipes to 4" outlets.

Buy the 4" 90° bends from here and set too marking which bit of the pipe you want to keep.
I used a scriber in a stand on a granite surface plate but a flat bit of wood or glass would suffice.

Cut the pipe and file the edges smooth and flat. I sanded the outlet flat using wet and dry on the surface plate again.

Remove the old outlet from the side pipe and remove the mounting plate leaving as much material on the plate as possible.

Place the new pipe over the old one and mark the cone where the new pipe will join. Once marked cut the old tail pipe off the cone. Grind and file the cut edge to get the 4" pipe to slide inside the cone. It will butt up against the baffle support plate on the inside.

Place the cone back inside the sidepipe and line up the screw hole. Using a spirit level rotate the pipe until upright and mark the position of the new outlet on the cone.
