More secret taxes planned

The latest proposal is to grab billions of pounds of extra revenue from motorists - without telling them. It is considering introducing a special mechanism so that whenever oil prices go down, the Government would get the cash in extra fuel tax - not the motorist.

Just think of it, every time theres a scare in the market and petrol prices jump up 10 per Ltr, it would be kept at that rate by this thieving government, who then pocket the difference when prices settle down again,
add this to charging 4x4,s 300% more to park up out side their own houses, and all the other taxes planned its reckoned that a family with a large car will pay £1,600 more every year.

Time for a change me thinks!

What is this governments bugbear with cars that drive more than 2 wheels? Does this mean every Audi Quattro, Fiat Panda and Subar Impreza driver will have to pay extra? I'm not sure how a car that is a bit taller takes up any more road space than, say, a 7-series BMW which is approximately 53 feet long...

Can't wait for Gordon Brown to get into Number 10... keep the bastard out of the budget!!

If any of you are planning to buy anything in Germany next year to it this year because VAT is going to rise from 16% to 19%.

I have to say that I am becoming utterly fed up with being a frigging cash cow for this government.

At every turn, we are being ripped off by the thieving politicians, who have absolutley zero regard for our actual well being or convenience.

We are also the most spied upon nation in Europe. there is no aspect of our lives that our government does not monitor. Every transaction we make, every journey we take, every website we visit - they watch them all. Big Brother is here. Now.

Why are we being stung so much??? Countries like India, Poland, Romainia, Russia have the worst condition of un tuned, dodgy running cars & Engines out there chucking out 10-30 times more sh1t into the air than our 1980's cars. Compare the country sizes to ours aswell.

We have to stand up to these money moles!
They make us think its all the UK's fault!
