You don`t have to be mental to build a kitcar - but it definitely helps.

Re: Flying Car

Car tax plus increased aviation tax costs doesnt bode well for a flying car. Sod it il have one anyway.

Just means we will get a load of assH01es in the air aswell as on the road now tee hee. wont be good for those who run out of fuel either.

Which reminds Robin if you read this whats the going rate for a litre of Jet-A1 these days. Robbing bu66ers at the flying club are charging £1.08 per litre now for 105 octane petrol for the R22 chopper. not good when im using 8 gallons an hour.

Re: Flying Car

I don't pay for my Jet A1 (the actual price of it is difficult to determine anyway as we hedge our fuel)... and we burn about 1100 gallons an hour!!

Re: Flying Car

yep think il look into doing my commercials and get paid for burning it. 8 an hour is more than enough when you have to pay for it.

Re: Flying Car

Actually, £1.08 doesn't sound too bad for 105 octane fuel.
How many hours do you have? PPL?

Re: Flying Car

am almost at 100 hours. only 50 odd more to go before I can apply for commercials. just the cost of spinning wings and harshness of commercial exams that is putting me off though

Re: Flying Car

I know what you mean - my company made me sit the Canadian ATPL exams a couple of years ago, just to show Transport Canada that we were capable of flying their poxy aircraft...

Never flown a chopper - always wanted to...
