You're certainly right that we put up with unreliable service in this industry. The DVLA cancelled my inspection the day before and couldn't care less that I'd booked annual leave and an expensive car transporter plus driver. They had me over a barrel as I didn't want to be rude to them in case they gave me a Q plate! Luckily I was able to rearrange it but it's just so frustrating, and it makes me look unreliable to my employer and the car transporter firm.

I reckon you'll get your parts in 2 weeks....!

Update on Jack Lifts.

Hi,
Rang & left message on answermachine Monday to say parts still not arrived. No reply.
Rang again Tuesday & the guy could not tell me why he hadn't returned my call on friday as promised or my message left on Monday.
He also could not tell me if parts had been posted ? but said they had a courier calling Wednesday so he would send another set ! ( don't think any had been sent until then ? )
Anyway parts arrived today, over a week after promising next day delivery & very happy with them until I notice 1 of the jack lifts was welded differently to the others so did not match !!!
Back on the phone & he has promised again to send replacement in post today 1st class. Will let you know when this arrives.
I may have been unlucky but it they seem a bit of a Mickey Mouse set up if you ask me ? Just my opinion you understand & if anyone has received good service from Autobrass please say so.
Regards Phil.
P.S. maybe we need a forum where we can all leave feedback ( like e-bay ) so we can see at a glance what experience, good or bad, we get from suppliers ? maybe then the bad ones will start to improve.
It's all to easy to moan about bad service but good service deserves praise.

Update

Hi Agian,

Finally get good service.
Replacement part arrived in the post this morning as promised, so it can be done !
If Autobrass read this, can I suggest you be a little more honest about delivery times & return calls & messages left by customers.
We are, after all the ones paying your wages & if you don't do this there is always someone else who will ?

Regards Phil.

I think this is why Chris at Brasscraft can charge more. Autobrass messed me around when I ordered some parts, when I chased, they did not want to know.

I placed an order on Brasscraft last week. Yes, a little expensive but the goods came next day and all was present and correct.

I guess you get what you pay for.

Cheers...

I ordered my screen, side screens, sun shades, bumpers, overriders when Dave was alive. He rang when they were ready. I picked them up. Very nice guy no hassle. Parts ordered were perfect. Ray
