Custom Car Magazine

bought a copy of this months CC, first time for a long time & was very dismayed by how politically correct and child freindly it had become. It carried a note from a reader thanking them for not showing scantily clad girls in its pages anymore as his young children below 10 ys if i remember right & obvious hot rod fans might get confused.
I remember when CC was packed with great reports from Peter Dron & the like, had the p*ss funny cartoon Super CC, great cars draped with great chicks, and it was a lot thicker. What next ?

I used to get CC many years ago too. When I was at school they had an amnesty for those harbouring porno mags to hand them in; I took my CC along with its topless girls and the school said that was quite OK and I got to keep it!!

There were some great articles and I remember the Super CC cartoon too. I remember once they got awarded 'sexist publication' of the year and the editorial that followed went something like:

"It appears that we have been awarded Sexist Publication of the Year. We were not invited to accept this accolade in person but since the bestowers of such awards are seldom endowed with good looks or big norks we were not too worried"

yep its a changing world full of political correctness, but isnt it ironic that the rise in pc correctness has happened at the same time as the massive increase in availability of porno type images and video??
Most homes have a pc with internet access to as much free porn of any imagineable type (and some you wouldnt want to imagine LOL) as you could view in a lifetime, and tv/freeview has the sort of images on it you you would not have dreamt possible in the heydays of mags like CC and Superbike.
Maybe the fact that all this is available so freely has made people want their specialist mags to cover their interest, because they know they can get more/better quality porn elsewhere??

Personally I hate the rise of political correctness, but even in the period, if I wanted a tit mag I generally bought the real thing and a car or bike mag with a bit better journalism/content.

Don't mention Political correctness to me, even the Michelin Man has been changed because he was to large round the middle.
