Based upon some of the hints and suggestions in this thread, it would be interesting to see how the poll would be if the BNP were included.

I have noticed people from all walks of life openly stating that they will be voting for the BNP (where available), rather than telling you in hushed tones or keeping it private. If the BNP gain more votes this time, then it must be saying something about how people are feeling now.

Disclaimer: The above was stated on a neutral observation basis, with no suggested allegiances or opinion intended.

Christ Guys who’s voted for conservative they are going to be worse than Labour on Green issues, & yes you do need BNP on the poll to give realistic figures. They haven’t got anyone suitable in my ward so I am just spoiling the form.

Hi
I would quite openly vote for the BNP if that was an option, for us it is not, it is not that I believe that England should be all white, it is I want a fair system. I work in the health care system and see the que jumping, and the preferential treatment some minorities get. I do believe in being fair, whether that be age, sex or colour related. It should be the most needy get the treatment first.
Cheers
Helen

Angry

Australia has mandatory voting

They don't suffer fools gladly and any politician - National or Local - gets dumped pretty quickly if they dont listen and perform !!! - (or fulfill their promises!)

keeps the politicians on their toes !!

Compare that to the UK where promises are broken every day

Always remember what Stone Face Brown did to the pension system in this Country - screwed it !!

No good moaning if you dont vote -

And if you don't want any of the ones on offer? "None of the above" seems best. With the proviso that if 'None of the above' wins the others are debarred from standing.

Also, remember to keep the national and local politics and views separate.

Almost as strong views as 'Chevy versus Ford' - ooer!

After over 40 years of being "Red", Nuneaton & Bedworth is now "Blue".
Interestingly, there are now also 2 BNP councillors, although I don't yet know from which wards.

Like I'm bothered!
Here in Scotland we've had over 75% of the international news banging on about local elections in England and Wales! Surely this should be a local news issue and there are more important things going on in the world today.
As a footnote, the first headine item on the Scottish news is a five minute report on a football team making it to a final!

But it was a Scotsman who had to stand up and say they'd had a bad night .
