Computer help needed

Bit of help here please, I need to get into my Netgear router to change some settings. I am having trouble locating it in my pc programmes. I have found it on previous occasions but it is not showing up in "my computer" network settings or anywhere.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

try going to this i.p address from your web browser

192.168.0.1

username will probably be admin
password - try password

Use Internet Explorer or similar and try address 192.168.0.1 in the address bar.

The dedfault IP address of the router is probably on a label on it somewhere if it isn't that one. A word of warning about some IT components if you don't know how, don't. However you can always do a factory reset on a router

Thanks for that, I've found it. The only other thing is the default password, is it "password"?

it usually is, if not, reset the router which will then reset the password to password
