Bird Crap

Luckily not on the Cob, but on the tin top.

A very poorly birdie left a big splat on the bonnet, 4 days later when I jet washed it off there is now a dull stain on the paint work...2-3" wide (must have been a big bird!)

Car is only 4 months old, and wanted advice before I start rubbing and polishing and make it any worse?

Any advice from people ?

Jon

First bit of advice - Bird Crap contains acids - so wash it off as soon as you see it.

The best thing about not planning - is that failure comes as a complete surprise! - and is not preceded by a period of worry and depression!!

Get the stain off asap - I left one on my tin top and finally found the clearcoat damaged.

it may have etched the polished surface off the clear coat.

chances are a quick mopping with G10 will put that right, worked on mine after i parked under a tree at an airport to come back 2 weeks later to find the pigeon population of greater london had used my car for target practice!
