US Troops in Afghanistan

It was announced today that troops in Afghanistan should spend more resources rebuilding the country rather than fighting insurgents.

In view of this a new strategy has been adopted that, it is thought, will reap better results in bringing stability and the eradication of the insurgent forces.

A Pentagon spokes-person said, ' We have always lacked the element of surprise, so it has been very difficult to get close. This new operational strategy will enable our men to infiltrate the very heart of the insurgent threat. They will no longer be able to hide within the community or even their own homes!'
