I'm puzzled, why the big downer on Hamilton.
People complained in the last race when he apparently sat behind Coulthard and they're complaining this week because he tried a pass. He win with some people.
He's probably one of the best "racers" we've seen for a long time and he's injected some excitement into F1. Inevitably, there will be some mistakes along the way, but that's racing.
Get behind him and support him rather than jumping on the knockers bandagon....or is there a touch of the green eye'd monster lurking around here?

Paul

He's easily the best driver of the current crop, and one of the few who is actually prepared to race full on and take risks. He's probably the first British driver since Damon Hill with a chance of winning the F1 crown; I think he deserves a bit of support, because if he does win it, motorsport in this country will get a massive boost.

Lets not forget this is racing, for the drivers its high adrenaline, high stress; split second decisions make the difference between winning and losing (or worse); Id like to see all the armchair commentators try any form of competitive motorsport for themselves; trust me its not easy and everyone screws up now and again.

Unfortunately for Hamilton being a Brit he was always going to be subject to the mandatory talking up when he was the underdog, only to be knocked down when he's succesful. He needs to talk to Jackie Stewart, Nigel Mansell, David Couthard, Damon Hill etc etc and theyll all tell him the same.

Looks like hes entered phase two poor sod.

Come on give him a break!!

I've been an F1 fan for a fair few years , i supported Mansell, Hill, Button and Coulthard, however i don't follow Hamilton. I've never met him , but the way ITV follow him and his father like they're some sort of gods. I've seen Jensons' father interviewed a few times but the coverage now just seems to be a day out with the Hamilton family, thank god for SKY+.Could someone please tell Steve Ryder that there are 19 other drivers. I don't want to sound racist but does anyone else remember when the great god Lewis said something about being further down the grid with the monkey's? If any of the other 19 drivers said that about him, could you imagine the comments?
Anyway come on Massa

well thats bog standard media for you, once they think theyve got a potential britworld champ they go into overdrive; hardly the Hamiltons fault though is it?
I didnt hear the monkey comment and do get what youre saying, but he is only a young lad, and more than likely an innocent mistake

Steve (ex grid filler)
