RC Cobra

Morning fellow petrolheads.

Is anyone aware of a R/C Cobra kit. Because i have such a long wait for my chassie, i thought i could have a bash at building a scale model. Quick searches doesnt bring owt up, Tamiya dont have anything, but i swear i'v seen one before...somewere.

Any ideas, anyone got one??

I think Tamiya use to make a body that fitted on one of their kits. I've seen them on Ebay, but not very often.

Try any large RC model shop that specialises in rc racing cars. They usually have a large selection of lexan bodies which fit onto rc racing chassis. They are normaly held on by split pins through posts. Before my local shop went bust a few years ago the selection ranged from le mans, saloon cars, hot rods,F1,monster trucks to rail dragsters and yes they even had cobra bodies.

Thumbs down

I have tried finding one but none of the major RC manufacturers list one anymore.

Kyosho used to do a series of cars in their nostalgia series.

There was a Cobra 427, a GT40 and a Cobra Daytona among many others. They were the big 1:12th scale too and I think they may have done some in a bigger 1:10 or 1:9th scale with Nitro engines?

I have the 1:12th Cobra 427 but I bought it 2nd hand from E-bay and the chassis is fine but the body is a bit beaten up and it needs re-painting. May get round to doing it sometime.

Have a search on Google and E-bay for "Kyosho nostalgia" and you may get lucky.
