noise

Check this out. Have they changed the noise level of the pipes.Hope you can read this. im no computer expert. Rayray s 048.jpg

God, mine makes that much noise just with the fuel pump running , maybe I'll not take it to Devon & Cornwall after all!!

'should be between 82 and 89 dB'!!!

Oh - so you can be done for being quieter than 82 as well as more than 89!! Never heard of a car being too quiet. Doesn't say much for these Prius-mobiles, and milk floats. They should really throw the book at them - far too quiet..

Also, where did they invent this 89dB maximum. They had better inform the SVA / IVA staff that they have been getting it wrong at about 100dB.

The wind and the sea is probably louder than 82 at times - go and ticket them, you numpties.

Ray, simple answer, stay away from Newton Abbot.

I've been past the mentioned noise meter in the Cobra (before I sold it ) and I didn't get booked.

I think they are probably targeting Boy Racers and motorbikes with after market exhausts.

Newton Abbot eh? Now that MikeT has sold his Cobra, he is probably petitioning the local police to stop those pesky noisy cars that are disturbing his afternoon snoozes.
