Just looked up my branch on web to book an appointment with mortgage adviser.
Only generic 0845 number listed.
After waiting for some time Im put through to some ditzy operator in a very loud room (so I have to shout t her for her to hear) who wants to know the postcode of the branch i want.
Its not actually listed on the web page ive been looking at - just the address - brilliant. Franborough I say - oo wheres that she says?
I find the postcode on the web for her.
Then tell her i want to book an appointment with a mortgage adviser.
'Oh I'll just phone them for you' she says ' can you stay on the line?' . WTF? Why cant i phone them direct like I can with HSBC?
Then Im put through to someone at my local branch.... who then says ' we dont do appoitments on Saturday, you just walk in'....... what a f*ck up.
So I phone the 0800 mortgage advise line.
Im on 2.9% tracker now, and they want to offer me a fix at 3.49%.
The website says 2.8%. I queery this, and they say thats for new customers.
I say no its on your re-mortgage section. Yes its for new customers coming to remortgage with us.
So if I stay with you I get a crap rate. So I'll be off then in Dec.
What a load of shite.
