Just typed "astra steering wheel boss" into fleabay and came up with 32 results all under £90, some under £30!

I butchered the Astra steering wheel which I got with my column from a scrappy. Of all the things and ways I looked at it is by far the best result IMHO.
I stripped off the rubber/plastic and cut the middle out (circumference to fit the steering wheel), then drilled in the optimum places and drilled the others just to take the bolts.
I bought one of the Ebay ones and it could have worked if I cut out the middle and was able to perfectlt weld aluminium but I cant!
I should add the I wanted the steering wheel as far away as I could.
I will now attempt to attach photos, but by the time this is done everyone else will have sorted you out!
However, for me as I said it was the best/only solution, and others may like to use it, I'd be interested to get some feedback.
    Regards
    Ed

PS, thats just a bit of chromed pipe which fitted over the column, and the housing is simply formed from Al and covered in black leather, it covers the standard Corsa self cancelling mechanism with the arm cut off, drilled, and an MG one epoxyed in.

    Phew!

    Now photos!

think its the older mk1 astra, circa mid 80s. It is the one which has no height adjuster,

thanks for the ideas re the steering wheel, food for thought

    Hi Steve
Would the Astra boss be the same as a Corsa
If they are the same I have a Momo boss you can have for postage price.
