Tonneau cover

I have just gone to fit the tonneau cover and discovered that it isn't long enough to reach the studs that I previously fitted when I installed the hood. The hood was pulled down tight when fitted and the studs placed accordingly. But now they are about 30mm too far back and therefore the tonneau cover misses them. So have I cocked up the hood or am I supposed to fit new studs for the tonneau cover (which I dont think would look good)???

Re: Tonneau cover

I almost had this problem with a tonneau Cover from C.R.. But I waited a very hot day of summer in sunshine to fit the tonneau cover and it worked.

Re: Tonneau cover

I know they stretch a bit but this seems too far out!

Re: Tonneau cover

Mikeb
Give the Trim Shop in Redditch a call(They make the tonneau covers for Dax) and tell them your problem. They might be able to sort out a longer tonny' on an exchange basis.
(I have never had to do this myself but it's cot to be worth a try)
Good luck.

Re: Tonneau cover

Thanks Dave. That sounds like the best idea. I will call them today.
