fuel pump & filter location

Because I want to avoid using the boot, I'm looking for an alternative spot for the fuel pump and filter. But I have some difficulty finding a spot with enough space. There's some room just below the prop shaft but I doubt if both the filter & pump will fit. I'm using a bullet-type filter and Edelbrock pump.

Any tips and/or pictures?

Thanks

Not one of my pictures this but may give some idea of a possible solution depending on which chassis you have.

Re: fuel pump & filter location

My filter is an all metal cased filter mounted on the bulkhead under the bonnet. The fuel pump is in a locker in the side of the boot.

Re: fuel pump & filter location

Keep these items where you can easily get to them in the event of blockage or failure. Build a cage around them in the boot if you need to. Blocked fuel filter, positioned under the car where I could not get to it, cost me the only jump I was ever offered because of the car and the ride I gave her in it. You have been warned.

Wilf,
I think we need a little more detail here.

More details---- Its reported.......She was blonde, 5'11" - 38EE 23 35. and yes it is difficult to reach the filter under the car Wilf whilst trying to undo buttons at the same time.

Also you should know the excuse for using the sockings as filter and fan belt was always going to get you into trouble

Re: fuel pump & filter location

I think the main problems were as follows:

1: her very nice summer silk party dress

2: an immobile Cobra parked up at the side of a road without a tree in sight

3: a torrential rain storm (first rain in 6 weeks)

4: her totally ruined nice silk party dress

5: my suggestion that she just took it off anyway.

sum all these up and it becomes fairly obvious why her very kind offer of biblical relations was rescinded. LOL. Wimmin - fickle.
