foot well finish I'm interest to learn/see how the foot well's are finished. - cover for the door hinges and the rest of the foot well sides? - cover for the heater unit? - finish for the pedalbox? Any SVA requirements in the footwell or is it an excemption zone? Thanks Patrick

Re: foot well finish Hi Patrick, as far as I know (going off the carpet templates from Dave) all the hinges and sticky out bits are covered by carpet , up the sides and along the floor. Dunno about the heater as its going behind my dash in the middle.... I think the pedal boxes need the rubber covers but thats it for the SVA. Dont take my word for it though as Im in the middle... cheers Ben

Re: foot well finish Thanks for you comments. I guess you need to make a fiberglass plate to shield of the hinges before covering it with carpets. Still interested to see some pictures. Also an interesting idea to place the heater in the middle. I have some trouble placing it myself, especially since I'm building lefthand drive (the exits are then on the 'wrong' right side).

Re: foot well finish From what I can gather the carpets just fit directly over the hinges so no sheild needed as they dont touch any of the moving parts. The heater I am using is from a Mini, and all I have done is fit it resting onto the tunnel cover (at an angle facing vertical) behind the centre of the Dash. The exits on the heater are then on the RHS where I then have routed them through the back of the bulkhead into the engine bay. Ive had to be careful though with the clocks as there isnt much room behind the dash now, but Im using the 427 sc layout which moves the tacho up and over to the driver (away from the heater...) I maybe able to sort some picys of the carpet pieces if you want, although I have yet to fit them because they need binding first...
