Halibrand Rims

Anyone know where the best place is to get the rims for my De Dion build. I plan to install the 18" Halibrands as shown in the Dax manual for the De Dion. I just thought I might get them cheaper than the quote from Dax which is 1670 for the rims alone (including nuts and spinners). I would presume the tyres will be another 600 at least.

The front rims are 8 1/2" x 18" for 235/40x18 tyres

The rear rims are 10 1/2" x 18" for 295/35x18 tyres

I have to adhere to a certain inset and outset from the C/L of the rim. Do most manufacturers cater for this request?

Any help appreciated.

Re: Halibrand Rims

Hi Bogster,

I checked out other options ( I actually wanted 18" rims that looked like old "slot mags" as opposed to the halibrands), but could find nothing cheaper than Dax for the halibrands.

The Dax items are actually from Image but they couldn't match the Dax price when I enquired 18 months ago

Good luck

Rich

Re: Halibrand Rims

I think you'll find Daxes prices hard to beat as they buy in quantity from Image so image won't undercut them.
How about Trigo's ?

Re: Halibrand Rims

I too rang around but couldn't find them cheaper than Dax.

Even phoned IMAGE to see if they would match DAX's prices and they wouldn't!
