Samco Hose Kit

Anyone know if Samco or similar hose manufacturer do hose kits for a Chevy V8 in a Dax Tojeiro? Trying to find out if I can by a complete kit of have to buy separate parts.

Hi Bogster,

I didn't take much notice of it the other day, but I flicked through the merlin motorsport catalogue and it suggested that they had pipe kits for certain vehicles and engines - what they were I don't know.

Do be careful though - the cost of this hose seems to vary dramatically from supplier to supplier - I think speedflow are pretty competetive.

How's the boot lid now?

As there are so many different options with Kit cars I doubt if any supplier would try to do a kit.

With the Dax you could have different engines, Radiator, Heater, Thermostat housing, water pump Etc.

If you spend a bit of time you can quite easily work out what you need. If you take a look at my gallery you will see what I ended up with. All were supplied by Think Automotive.

I went down the Samco route but did it by buying separately. I didn't go out of my way to find a kit though certainly got the impression that none was on offer. Could be wrong. I found the thermostat to radiator link the hardest to find the correct angles for but got there in the end.

Give Europa Spares a call - if you give them an accurate template they can get silicone hose made to the shape and dimensions you need.

PSH will make any hose you want, but it should be easy to plumb the car with standard hoses.

I used a standard black for the bottom hose, as nobody see's it anyway.

Here are the sizes that are needed for a Dax with a Chevy engine:-
90 Degree X44mm 2 off bottom hose
45 Degree X38mm 1 off top hose rad end
straight X38mm 1 off (You only need about 8" of the 1M length.) top hose stat end
That's the radiator sorted.
Heaters:-
2x 1m (19mm)lengths (bulkhead-joiner-elbow-engine)
2x 90 degree (19mm)elbows.
and 2 joiners (Depending where the heater box is fiitted)
header tank.
1X 1M 19mm (Bottom of tank to bottom hose)
1X 1M 8mm. (top of tank to stat housing)

Can I use that type of pipe for the filler cap to petrol tank??

I don't think so, you'd have to check.
It is also no good for servo vacuum hose.........Officially!!!
