wiper arms

Just received some stainless wiper arms/blades from Dax today, due to other commitments didn't have much time to play, however I quickly offered up the arms to the wheelboxes and it seems at first glance that they wont fit the splines! there are two different size wedges with each blade and it appears that neither wedge will allow a tight fit on the splines! the wheelboxes were from Exeter last year? anyone any ideas? Thanks Dave

Re: wiper arms

If they are like mine, the wedges run up a taper, and will pull down onto a smaller dia splined shaft than at first appears?

Re: wiper arms

Tried the wipers today, the larger wedge does the job, on the question of washer system, I have the Dax washer kit, it includes two twin jet nozzles, can anyone confirm they have used just one and it is sufficient coverage? and what approximate position did they site the nozzle? dont want to drill any more unwanted holes!! Thanks Dave

Re: wiper arms

I have a single one on mine currently, offset towards the drivers side. Passed the SVA fine.

I've offset it as I wish to fit the 2 Jag chrome ones I've got but don't want to drill the second hole until the cars painted so I can get the jets perfectly symetrical in relation to the stripes.

Most people seem to fit a single one in the centre, mine is positioned so it just enters the engine bay in front of the bulk head.
