internal boot hinges
I would like to fabricate some internal hinges for my boot lid, I know there has been many threads on this subject, but there doesn't seem to be any pics, can some kind person please post some pics to point me in the right direction. I already have some hinges from europa but i think they will need alot of tweaking to make them fit.

your help will be much appreciated:thumb:

Hi Andy,

I cannot find any reference to internal boot hinges on this threat. It only discusses gass struts and on p2 a mounting plate.

Did I miss anything?

surely somebody has fitted internal hinges, the only hinges i can find are those on the hawk 427, i'm going to try and make some similar, the only thing that is stumping me is how to attach them to the under side of the boot lid.

I've got some Dax internal bonnet hinges on my bootlid.
Basically they have been reversed and the plates are bonded and glassed up under the rear scuttle, works perfectly. Also use the Dax gas struts as well.
I will be out and about in the old girl over the weekend at Duxford and I will get some photos for you then and post Monday evening.

That's good news, I was pestering DB about the possibility of consealed hinges the other day 'cos it's one thing I don't like about the Dax appearance ! Be interested to see that.:thumb:
