Dax Fuel Sender Unit Problem

Hi,

Does anyone know where I can get the same fuel sender unit that Dax supply. When they sent my fuel tank back after repairing the leak in it they never sent the fuel sender unit. I have asked for the past month and Dax have told me that they have sent it. However nothing has arrived. Dax told me they have sent a second one and it hasn't arrived either. It's very odd as all the other shipping never got lost....

So I've given up and I'm looking to just buy one from somewhere else if I can find one. Anyone know what type, make, model, etc. I don't have the box it came in anymore.

Thanks

Hi

Ask for proof of shipping & the tracking numbers of each shipment.

Re: Dax Fuel Sender Unit Problem

It is either the standard ETB or smiths one you are best getting the appropriate one for the dials of your choice.

They sent it via normal post as they didn't want to pay the courier fee.

It has VeeThree written on the top of it. I found their website but they don't have anything that looks like the Dax fuel sender unit. I guess if I get one from the smiths range it should be okay as long as it fitsthe flange on top of the tank.

Re: Dax Fuel Sender Unit Problem

Landrover units look very similar but I dont know what the bolt hole spacings are. Might be worth a try if you have a Land Rover dealer local to you.
They should work fine. The earth is a wire trapped under one of the screws.

Re: Dax Fuel Sender Unit Problem

the first link is definitely the right fittings for your tank but as it is for the ETB gauge not too sure if it works in the correct resistance range. The smiths one looks very similar but I know from experience does not work well at all with ETB gauges. HTH
