steering column lower mounting

Hi,

Can some confirm that i have the right part from dax for me, the reason i ask is the one have been sent is different to the ones in photos i have seen.

Mine is the one without the metal cover, is this cover to protect it from the heat being radiated from the headers?

Help much appriciated.

Russ

I have the one with the metal cover as shown in photo 1 which I believe is a FORD modified part as it has thier emblem on it.

I'm sure Dave B. will put you right if this is a new replacement.

The metal cover is no longer available from Ford.
You'll have to get one from a breakers yard or.........In order to make the large part of the rubber bush more secure use one of the rubber rings that come with the 2" smiths instruments and fit that over the bush and into the groove.
