| You should have got a few pieces of paper with all the colours listed and where they run from and too. If not I could scan mine I think the brown ones are the alternator, white ones are to the ignition coil or HEl +ve input. The other 3 may be water and oil sensors but without the colours don't know for sure. Craig.

| Update: the three branches of wires coming off at the corner of my inner wing are as in the pic above: 1/ White White + Yellow White + Black 2/ Brown (approx 5mm thick) Brown + Yellow 3/ Blue + Dark Green Light Grey White + Brown None of the above wires end in terminals (except the white, white+yellow, White+black) Theres a big wire also (coming off the black box thing i've fitted above the transmission tunnel). On it is... 4 brown wires finishing in a ring terminal White+Yellow White+Red

| 1/ White = Ballast resistor or +ve input on HEI Distributor White + Yellow = Ballast resistor or coil to start solenoid to give 12 v boost whilst cranking with a 6V coil. (not used on HEI distributor) White + Black = coil to rev counter 2/ Brown (approx 5mm thick) = Alternator main output Brown + Yellow = alternator to charge warning light 3/ Blue + Dark Green = water temp sender to gauge. Light Grey = Oil temp? White + Brown = oil pressure switch to warning light None of the above wires end in terminals (except the white, white+yellow, White+black) Theres a big wire also (coming off the black box thing i've fitted above the transmission tunnel). On it is... 4 brown wires finishing in a ring terminal Same connection as main battery lead on starter solenoid White+Yellow = other end of white and yellow mentioned above White+Red = Starter switch to start solenoid. I have attached the document that all these colours come from. Craig.

| Looks like the chevy loom to me. I had to modify quite a lot of this as I removed unused wires such as the starter to coil lead as I used an HEI distributor and I used all mechanical gauges so removed all those wires too. I also added an ammeter, Central ignition key mounted in the dash and a start button. CRaig.

| I also found that some wires didn't come out the main loom n quite the right place. It is a simple enough to unwrap the loom and route them where you need then re-wrap the loom again. Craig.
