Sound of a Chevy V8 started for the first time

Hi All

Is it just me or is it one of the best sounds you'll ever hear?

I've not stopped smiling all night!

Thanks guys

Si. Just a bit of advice (if applicable)

My engine is a Chevy 350 V8 supplied by repower. I had to replace the thermostat housing to one supplied by Dax as repowers did not have a breather attached (to go back to the header tank)

The repower housing had a groove and rubber seal, the Dax housing has nothing

I tried using the rubber seal on the Dax housing but it leaked water everywhere. So if this applies to you please make sure you get some thick gasket material and make a proper seal before starting your engine

Cheers

Warren

Warren

Probably a bit late for you now but a much easier and cheaper way of doing this is to have a small stainless tube TIG welded on the side of the stainless top radiator hose.

Look in my garage links below and it can be seen in the engine photo.

Craig.
