Finished Cobra

My car is now completely finished. Here are the last pics I will post of the car unless someone requests pictures of the odd piece of the build every now and then (Im sure most of you are sick of seeing it) .

Thanks again to everyone on the forum for their help and support. Looking forward to seeing all those folks going to Silverstone

I went for a drive with my 4 1/2 year old son this evening, we loved it. Came back and the wife was in the mood (for a drive unfortunately) so we went for about a 50 mile drive and it was absolutely fantastic! Kept watching the gauges like a mad man but finally relaxed and started to enjoy the car. Dead chuffed with myself and the wife even admitted the car was quote "awesome". Last time she said that it was our wedding night! LOL

For those of you who are thinking about building a Cobra all I have to say is I highly recommend it. Although it's probably one of the hardest things you will do in your spare time, its a hell of an experience and a fantastic feeling of accomplishment in the end.

For you guys that are still building DONT GIVE UP!! My knowledge of building the De Dion is limited but I hope I can help others on the forum in the future and I definitely plan to hang around for the long term.

When I first joined the forum I put a little sub title in my profile "Live the Dream!" When I started my Cobra this evening and took it for a drive the dream becam a reality!

Well done Colin, now is the time to enjoy the fruits of your labour! Your car looks great and it has been a pleasure following your build progress over the months and a pleasure to meet you and your family at Alyth!
I look forward to meeting up with you at Silverstone and perhaps we can have a "Wee day oot" at Deeside in the summer.
Take care, and if you are ever in the Carse of Gowrie, remember to pop in and say "Hi"

Well done Bogster, your car looks great and I have enjoyed watching your progress even though I'm not building a De Dion!

Time to swap out the tools for cleaning products?

Well done Colin - I always said you'd get there first.

Car looks great - and I'm certain it is worth all the hard work. Just want to get mine on the road now even more!

Well done again.

Jon
