Stone Guards - They do what it says on the tin

If anybody is condsidering not putting stone guards on their Cobra then think again.

Over the last couple of days I have noticed that they actually do the job they are designed for and are not just a shiny bit you bolt on to make it look good. These things take a battering from stones thrown up from the front wheel.

I wasn't going to put them on but I guarantee that the front section of my rear wheel arches would be badly chipped by now. At present not a mark on the paint work, but a good few on the stone guards. They work! I recommend you put them on if you have the wide wheel arch on your cobra.....Especially if you are considering spending a lot of money on a spray job.

I have them on my car and I also have sidepipes.

I thought there was no way any stones could get back to the front of the wheel arch but they do. I went for a drive yesterday and our road is a little bit wet still, and when I got back the front of the stone guards are covered in spots of water and mud so I guess it finds it way back there somehow.

Craig.

dax stoneguards

Hi everyone, on the subject of stoneguards, there is a set for a Dax on E-bay at the moment. £50.00 buy it now if anyone needs a set.
I have a Mk III Sumo & will need to order some soon or there won't be any paint left on the arches. i can hear the stones bouncing of the side pipes & hitting the arches as I drive along ! Phil.
