New Dax supplied boot lock handle Required!!

Does anyone know who supplies Dax with there boot lock handles because I've done a really, really stupid thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Went out the other night for a quick spin, everything fine then tonight noticed the boot lock handle missing!!!...........Completely missing!!!!

Remembered then only putting the nuts on a couple of turns!

So now I need a new one with exactly the same dimensions and fitment.

Anybody help with Dax's supplier or are they all very similar?

Hi John

This is the same as the handle I was supplied by Dax.

How's the car feel now after the engine tune up?

Craig.

John. I would think S&J motors would be the place 01257262881 They should also be able to match the key number for you

Having said that my lock had a long square bar sticking out the back that goes through the catch and is perfect for making large scars in the back of your head!
I have now cut the excess bar of flush with the lock

The one in the photo doesn't look as if has the square shaft.

Maybe best to speak to Dax.

Craig.

Cheers Craig, yes that looks similar to mine (the one I HAD anyway). Do you know the Dax item is supplied from Europa?

The car is much better now especially driving in traffic, much smoother on tickover as well. Still pulls like a train too which is good!

Seems to run cooler as well, but then again mine was running lean down the bottom end so that explains that. On the whole very pleased with engine, well worth the effort.

Again a big thanks to Tim Adams!

Fitted the oil cooler yesterday which went fine. Used the filter Dave recommended, PH4751, smaller than the original but fits a treat!

John. I have a new, Dax supplied handle etc if you are interested. It is not SVA compliant but is otherwise identical.

My DAX supplied handle was SVA compliant.

Which type have you got Bob?

Craig.

Hi John.
If you don't need one for a week or so why not get one from Dax?
I might have one lying around at work. If you need one desparate then give me a call and I'll have a hunt around.

Craig/John. Here is a pic of the handle. It is SS and non SVA compliant. I suspect it is the 'sharp' edge runing along the length that is the problem. It comes with 2 keys and small gasket and has never been used. Say a £10 + P&P. Need to recoup some dosh from the many non-SVA bits I have.
