Vacuum Hose route

I know this topic has been raised before but I need to check on one aspect. My hose (Dax supplied) goes from the carb up to the top of the scuttle as high as possible then down to the servo with the valve just before the intake on the servo. It does not loop BELOW the servo before entry. This goes against DAX advice. I did this as the hose was too short to add the loop but also because it would pass very close to the headers. My question is does it really matter if do not loop the hose below the servo? Thank.

Bob

I thought the resoning behind the 'loop below the servo' was to act as a trap for any fuel that might find itself working down the hose into the servo.

This will prob be one of those - it'll work now but likey to be b*****d in the future - things.

Hi Bob.
As your hose runs up before it goes down to the servo you will be fine. You have in effect created the trap right next to the engine, the best place for it.
