I would drill the holes personally Andi.

If they can replace the crossmember with a flat plate with two holes then your box section with two holes in it will be strong enough.

I would drill the holes larger and fit rubber grommets in place to avoid chaffing.

The picture you have seen is this one of my chassis. http://www.cobraclub.com/forum/attac...9&d=1203677505

Andi, you might want to put the gearbox rear support plate in from under the chassis as opposed to from the top as you have it installed at the moment. Reason is to allow the gearbox/engine to be removed from the completed car without trashing/removing the interior to get at the gearbox mounts.

Wiring harnesses.

Just been marking up the connectors on the wiring harness and got to the tacho connection, which says it mates up with the Instrument harness. Is this something that comes with the dashboard or something extra I have to create?

Cheers.

It should connect straight to the connector on the back of the gauge.

I think it does connect straight to the Smith gauges but yours look like ETB gauges.

They are ETB, both guages and harness are from Dax.

I think my Smiths gauges had a short loom on them. I brought the other half of the Dax loom plug from Vehicle wiring products and attached that to the gauge loom. Simple enough to just plug in then.

It looks like you should have a plug for the back of the gauge that goes to flying leads that could then be joined straight into the Dax loom.

Thanks guys, it doesn't look as big a problem as I first thought. I'll ring Dax tomorrow and ask Simon. The manual says 'don't panic when you see the loom' and now I have labelled it all it doesn't seem quite so scary.

How have you guys clipped the main parts to the body?

Andi.
