Get on to DAX first thing and tell them you want a new one delivered by overnight carrier.

Or ask DB if he has a spare one knocking about.

Ring them up (I'm sure they'll be more than helpful - won't you Dax?) and courier it down, and back - might cost a bit but for the SVA test it'll be worth it ?

Dax fuel tank

Hi,

I had a leak at a weld in the very expensive tank I bought from Dax. I sent it back for repair. They won't be able to fix it quickly as they have to drain it and allow it to 'air out' so they can weld without blowing themselves up.

My advice is to ask them to replace it.

Simple really. Wait until the supplier (Dax in this case) re opens after the holidays, call them up, explaining the situation, they will then send a new tank out FOC including the carriage.
They may charge you for the new tank, but in receipt of the old one will refund you.

Always best to contact the manufacturer first before throwing the problem to the dogs, ie. posting in forums. All the other manufacturers customers seem to do that when something goes wrong.

Dax do air test their tanks, unfortunately petrol can weep from where air doesn't blow bubbles....Rock and a hard place really.

P.S. I don't have any tanks, I am waiting for 2 of them but Dax are out of stock at the moment....But you didn't really want to hear that.

If they tested it to 25psi then your tank would be the same shape as one of these:-
