My advice would be to look through your local yellow pages for a welding company and get them to repair it for you, no excuse for holes in Ali welding/Air pressure testing - especially if it is the second one. Short term fix i know but will get you through your SVA, then complain to manufacturer safe in the knowledge that you have already fixed the problem.

I would offer to do it myself but your a bit too far away to get it over here welded and back to you for Friday.

Should cost no more then £10/15 to weld a small pin hole,

Duncan

No one in at Dax today due to open day Friday. The lady was helpful and checked the stock (None ) .
I have carried out a temporary repair so that I can at least turn up at SVA and will take up the tank problem with Dax tomorrow.
Spent the afternoon going backwards and forwards to MOT test station, running the fuel down. Would you believe it kept failing on emmisions, and I had to take it home to sort out each time, but I eventually sorted it
The blasted brake light fluid level test light lamp blew while I demonstrated it to an interested mechanic, should be able to sort for Friday.
After the afternoon in the Cob all the stress has dissappeared

Most of the past problems seem to fade away after a drive!

Good luck with the SVA test

Craig.

Spoke to Craig at Dax today, they are happy with what I have done to get to SVA and will sort a tank after test. Got the feeling they would be prepared to do anything to help which i was impressed with.
They have a brake test switch on its way to me , so everything is go for Friday

Good to hear your sorted now. Good luck with the test.

I keep telling people that Dax do care and help out their customers whenever they can. Some people still don't believe me???

Tell them to bring back the stainless option and get one of them instead, It will look nicer and last longer. You could even get under there occasionally and give it a polish!

Craig.
