Dax Front Roll Bar Bushes

i have just replaced my old rubber front roll bar bushes as they where perished from sitting in the garage for over twenty years.
with the new polly type of bushes
my problem is that i know that their is no weight on the front end but i just douse not look right to me
is their any setting up or shimming required on the front roll bar assembly as it all seams all very tight and on the piss
see picture ?

thanks oiler0

Looks like the car was off the floor when you took that photo.

They straighten out once the weight is on the wheels and the wishbone moves up a bit.

Question front wishbone offset ?

i have just about finished rebuilding the front end on my DAX standard chassis.
but looking at it i think i have made a bit of a major mistake.
can some one please confirm to me which way the lower offset is pointing on the lower jag wishbone
is the offset pointing to the front or the rear of the car ?

thank,s

I'm 99% sure the crank should be facing towards the front of the car. Your photo is of the drivers or offside so it looks wrong.

Sorry

Craig.

Ditto to Craig's point. The crank should point forwards on the XJ6/XJS lower wishbone. I made the same mistake and recognised it before getting too far. You wont be able to set up the suspension correctly unless you change it. Hopefully not too long a job.

Wrong in both pictures. (The second picture does have the same picture/camera no. as the first one though).

There were two types of lower wishbone, A straight one and the angled one pictured here. The angled one should be cranked forward.
