De Dion ride/handling issue
Although the grip available on my De Dion is excellent (18's and 295/35 in the rear), I'm finding the ride way too soft and 'floaty'. Over undulating surfaces, it almost feels like an old 70's sofa! Over large dips in the road, the car feels like it will bottom-out.
Is this 'par for the course', or is theer a quick-fix to firm-up the ride and make it less 'bouncy'? Currently, it doesn't exactly inspire confidence. Cheers, Ian.

Ditto to Pauls post.
your dampers are adgustable for both ride height and damping. The big round spring seat/collar for the ride height and thenre is a knob on the bottom of each shock that will stiffen the ride if turned clockwise (Settings indicated by counting the number of clicks that you will feel when turning them). Don't go overboard, just move by a couple of clicks at a time (Clockwise for firmer) until you get the feel you are looking for.

Thanks guys... had a quick look, but looks like I'll have to jack the car and take the wheels off to gain access to the adjustment knob.
Cheers, Ian.

Hi Ian.
The knobs should be accessable by reaching under the car. They will be on the bottom of the shocks between the mounting eye and the bottom of the spring platform threads. And should be either inboard or to the front of the car.
