Original-style quick-shift gear lever & gaitor

Anyone fitted a replica quick-shift lever and rubber gaitor to a Dax? I've already got the replica lever (bargain £30 from S&J @ Stoneleigh), but held-off on the rubber gaitor as it needs a 6" OD round escutcheon plate (as opposed to the Dax ~4.7" oval item).

Anyone done this? If so, I'd appreciate seeing a pic.

Cheers,
Ian.

Any picture of this replica quick shift lever?
Just curious as to what it looks like.
Thanks

Surely I can't be the first on here to mount one in a Dax??

Thanks.

It looks like the original 289 shifter and boot.

I have a spare original style gaitor and chrome ring that came with my Kirkham.

Ian,
I have a replica lever fitted on my Dax. It has a leather gaitor rather than the rubber one you are looking for. Also has the round 6" chrome escutcheon ring. I'll get you a picture if you still want?
Cheers,
Russ.

Hi Russ... perfect; a pic would be very much appreciated. Feel free to either post the pic in this thread, or e-mail it to me (I'll PM you my e-mail address).

Cheers,
Ian.
