SVA1 Form Q9

In the DAX SVA guide it says to tick both A for amature built vehicle and C "Vehicle built by a person in the business of building vehicles using parts of a vehicle registered in GB". After ticking C it asks for the following

donor reg Number.
Engine Number.
List of parts used.

I have no problem with the first 2. I have the V5C of the donor with the relevent info, but what do I put in the list of parts? Have any of you filled in this section? Will it have a bearing on getting an age related plate when I get to the registration application?

Cheers
John

Why have you ticked box "C"?
That's for pro builders like me etc.
For that the 350 Chevy engine and one other major component has to have come from a UK regd. vehicle. Don't for one second think that you can pass off a Chevy engine as coming from a Jag or you will fall at the first hurdle in spectacular style.

If you have not built this car to sell on and you are niot a professional builder you should enter it as a catagory "A".

Feel free to call me if you want some advice on how to fill in the form. (07785 702005) ....Not tonight though

Cheers Dave,

Ok I'll reprint the page and won't tick 'C', I was just following the DAX SVA guide.

I've measured the noise from my 2" baffled DAX side pipes and the worst case is the nearside pipe which hits 101Db at approx 3700 rpm. So I have decided to put 4000rpm as my max engine power on the application form.

I have put 130mph for top speed, seemed reasonable.

I can't see anything else concerning on the form, do you have any other advice?

Hope Stonleigh was good for you
Regards
John

I think they may question 4000rpm as rpms for max power. Too low. But again, speak with DB. (not tonight tho', he must be on a promise..........)
