    Iva high back seats

Anyone know what seats would fit properly in a dax 427 latest irs body. Would like to fit high back seats with harness slots not bothered too much about keeping with the traditional style , want to trim in leather thinking along the lines of a seven type seat x with the traditional cobra seat, bit like dax latest with the top removable headrest bit but all as a single unit, think the idea of having a permanent head support is good, anyone have anything like it ?? Orrrr would it be poss to glass together the dax seat shell and headrest part then get it trimmed as a unit ?

Hi, thanks had seen those ones were on my list of maybes, maybe im wrong but in my head i was thinking to go slightly more modern in look, thats where the higher back ones with slots appeal, seen a couple cars at dax with the trad seat and their headrest added on to it which has slots, thats where my idea came from to glass both bits into 1 then get them upholstered as a unit, think need to call dax and see if is possible to do,

I fitted some Cobra seats, Roadster 7 IIRC. They have to be quite narrow.

I have the Dax seats with the removable head rests, as you have said i brought mine with the intention of keeping the head rest in premanatly. but i never got the two fuzed together just incase i wish to change my mind. i would not be too concerned though as the two items do not stick out as 2 differnt pieces and i seems to flow nicely. my trimming was done by the 'trim shop - redditch' and they did a vey nice job.Cheers Bill

    David,

I have fitted Intatrim Odyssey ll seats into a Mklll Sumo - not sure about the dimensions of the DAX though. If you want more information or details about the dimensions of the Odyssey seats let me know.

I certainly agree that a permanent headrest is a good idea.

thanks Ian for all the info and pics, will have get doing some measuring, from the pics it looks as though a sumo has a much narrower and straighter tunnel on the dax it widens quite a bit at the back as the brakes are under it though, will try get to it and measure tom eve and see what it looks like
