Try soaking it with diesel, it usually works. Next time though use Copper Grease when assembling bolts.
Hi All
When I took delivery of my engine from Repower last year (SBC), I installed it in the car as I had limited other storage space. Today I took the engine out, to
enable the fitting out of the engine bay. The NS mount bolt popped out easily, however, the OS bolt appears to have seized in the chassis mounting. I got the engine out by unbolting the mount from the engine block. However, even though I now have the space to wield a big hammer and drift, the bolt will not move. I don’t want to apply any heat as that would damage the rubber in the engine mount. Has anyone else seen this problem and has found a solution?

Soak as Clive says. Then get a long breaker bar on the head and turn it. If you can get an impact wrench in there that will probably shift it too.
www.sounds-legal.com - some have said we\'re mad!!!
even a piping hot kettle(or two) may help, when you get to the breaker bar stage only turn it back and forth few degrees too, this'll let the penetrating media to 'get in there' and remember its better to cut off the nut, if it won't move as its pretty cheap and easy to change a nut....cut parallel to the thread or cut to split the nut if you have room or you could use a nut splitter if you have or can borrow...or perhaps a steady hand with a grinder ..again if you have room
Thanks all. I managed to get some penetrating fluid in and then bash it out.

Can you get a drill in there now to clean out the hole and did it seem to be just rust holding it in place?
Strange that it rusted that badly in the garage but copper grease is a great anti seize and anti corrosion method for the final assembly. Used it on pretty much all the bolts on my car except the ones that required threadlocking.
Good job on getting the bolt out though.

You are up a bit early for a Sunday!! Are you somewhere east of here?
I have borrowed a 7/16" reamer to clean out the mount.
There is no rust as everything is still shiny & new. It seems that a few layers of the powder coating got folded over and wedged the bolt.

Ahh, I remember now, I think my engine mount bolts were pretty tight now with the addition of powder coating in the holes. Seem to remember filing them out a bit with round file.
Good to hear it wasn't corrosion.
I woke up a bit early on Sunday, not sure why but woke up at 3am, wide awake and couldn't get back to sleep. After playing on the internet and watching some TV I carried on with painting my living room!
