DAX, Rover gearbox (lt77) mounting issue...

Hi all,
I have just put in my engine this morning, RV8, and when putting on my gearbox have run into a slight problem.
The Dax supplied plate that the mounting from the gearbox bolts overhangs the mounting 'shelf' by about 2cm..... piccy attached to try and explain what Im on about...

Have I bo**oxed up the gearbox mounting in sumway, or is it supposed to be like that (not very stable though....)

Any pictures of a Rover mounting would be much appriciated...

Cheers

Ben

Hi Ben

mine was exactly the same, all i did was chop some material off the ends until there was no overhang, (angle grinder should do it).

regards

Why not just make a new hole ??

seems like grinding off bit's is causing youself extra work

holes still have to be drilled, but the plate was slightly too wide......
