Expansion tank for Chevy 350 in a DAX

I was going to re-use my DAX V12 Jag expansion tank in my car now it's been converted to Chevy 350 power, but I can't get it high enough so I need to source something else. The V12 DAX item is really only designed to fit in one place and just won't do. Apart from the standard DAX offering for the SB Chevy (a snip at 99-50 plus VAT), I was wondering what tanks other builders have been using (and not just DAX builders.) Any suggestions as to good items to use please, inc sources/donors? Thanks. Ian.

Hi Ian,
I use on a DAX this nice header tank that I found at the scrap yard.
If you install the tank higher than the thermostat than it should be work.
Dont forget to run the ventilation hose of the radiator always in the up direction towards the header tank and not like on this picture. (It was toke during installation)

Hi Ian,
It was 4 years ago when I took it and it comes from an army truck, I dont know the brand but I have seeing the same tank in other cars.
Original was painted in black but I have chrome it for a better look.

Thanks for your help guys. If anyone else out there has any other suggestions please let me know. Does anyone run a Dax/350 Chevy with the header tank in front of the engine like on the V12?
