Question For Dave

Hi Dave,

quick couple of things if I may...

1. How long does the positive battery cable need to be? (please dont say long enough to reach from the battery to the starter motor thats the response I got from Dax!!) I havent got my body yet you see so I cant measure it..

2. In your piccys on your website you have a chasis with stainless steel surrounding the chasis bar where the front top wishbones attach to. What do you do with the chasis number plate when you do that?

see ya

Ben

ps can you get bodys cheaper than what they sell them to us scabbyheads? cause Im looking to order mine in the next few months and obviously dont wanna spend what I dont have to {-}

RE: Question For Dave

Hi Ben.
1.This depends what engine you are using, but if you are using a Chevy and are mounting the battery above the rear axle what i usually do is cable tie the battery cable to the inner O/S roll bar post (If you have one) and leave the end of it standing proud of the post by about 3 inches then run the cable down the backbone brace bar towards the engine mount and cut it off about 2 inches short of touching the engine mount on the chassis and terminate at that.

2.The stainless cover for the front X member is available from Dax for about £15 or so, i drill out the rivets in the VIN plate, fit the stainless and then drill through the stainless and re-attach the VIN plate on top of the stainless.....................Usually!

Yes i can get bodies cheaper...........................But i'm not allowed to sell them on unless they are part of a complete car....Sorry M8!
