RE: Dax build sequence

Sorry, don't know your first name, I am plugging on through my dax build big block ford/c6, I have had to undo loads of things as I have progressed, The dax manual (I feel )is a very basic guide and I stongly advise you to scour the forums, talk to people and air your views/q's, with the vast array of knowledge available, the old saying of measure twice and cut once normally applied to diy is very much a part of building a kit.I have had problems through no fault of my own (eng mounts etc) which have meant ripping out fuel and brake lines, they don't have to be put in that early so take time to confirm with others before going ahead, it saves time/effort in the long run, I have another pet hate which is being ripped off by certain manufacturers, shop around, the same/similar part could be half the price for the cost of a phone call, anyway enough bleating, good luck with the build. RE: Dax build sequence

Make sure you do everything in a logical order obviuos I know but true.
Do one thing at a time and measure twice or three times and cut once as they say.
Fit the brake pipes and fuel hose etc before you fit the body.
you may want to trial fit the body to gauge clearances etc.
don't be afraid to ask questions on the forum it will save you time, heartache and money.
Make sure you set up the rear toe correctly before the body goes on as it's a pig later.

RE: Dax build sequence

Quick piece of advice - Fit the Aluminium bulkheads to the body before attaching the body to the chasis.
This may be obvious but not to me (not in the manual either) – I spent two days wrestling Aluminium bulkheads.
