| Exhaust emissions for mot test In previous years when taking my Dax/RV8 for MOT, exhaust emissions for Kit Cars only required 'visible smoke' test. This year (April) I was told by my local garage that it now depends on age of engine-the onus is on the owner to prove age. Anybody any comments about this? roger      |

| RE: Exhaust emissions for mot test Roger, If your car has been SVA'd then you may have a photocopy of the MAC. That shows the emission category it was tested to. Failing that, take along a printout of the engine casting number listings off this site. Simon.
