Tremec Gearbox - Shifter Location

Hi,

May be a stupid question but considering I haven't got my chassis yet and I'm now buying the gearbox.

Can anyone tell me which location is used for the shifter on the Tremec box as they have 3 possibilities, what's the norm on a Dax?

I understand you need to have a conversion kit to move the position.

Many thanks

Michael

RE: Tremec Gearbox - Shifter Location

Hi Michael.
Use the standard (Rear) shifter position.
Dont buy you gear stick from the box supplier, get it from Dax at about a fifth of the price.
With the Dax stick the positioning is in the right place.
The Tremec package from Repower is very user friendly and includes:-
Box,
Mounting rubber,
Bell housing,
Pivot ball,
Clutch fork,
Slave cylinder and bracket,
Adjustable pushrod,
Pilot bush,
release bearing,
And all the nuts and bolts you need.

Re: Tremec Gearbox - Shifter Location

Thanks Purple AK but thats the web site, I want an email address!
Have looked over the site and its pretty basic with no email contact as I can see.

Anyone know if Repower are in the 20th century i.e. on email?
