Wind deflectors/SVA mirrors

Does anybody know whether Dax wind deflectors will fit with the sticky out SVA wing mirrors - DAX Part No 74 SV?

RE: Wind deflectors/SVA mirrors

I would be surprised if they'll fit in conjuntion with wind wings.
are you already SVA'd?
You won't pass SVA with wind wings on anyway.

RE: Wind deflectors/SVA mirrors

Yep, was SVA'd on monday just gone, waiting for registration now. Have now gone ahead and ordered some from DAX so will see. I'm kind of stuck with the SVA mirrors though as I had to drill a pair of holes through each screen pillar.

Martin,

RE: Wind deflectors/SVA mirrors

Well I went ahead and ordered from Dax and believe it or not they arrived straight away!! Just had a quick look and as things stand they won't fit and will need a bit trimming off the bottom edge. Quite why DAX cannot do this during manufacture is beyond me. The other solution would be to fit the SVA mirror a little bit lower down, not an option for me as i've already drilled the screen pillar. Will post photo later.

RE: Wind deflectors/SVA mirrors

Michael.

Couple of photos attached. I trimmed off a portion of the deflectors without any problem with the jigsaw, then cleaned up the edge witha file and wet n dry. Fits OK but all a bit tight. As i said before, if i had the option, I would of moved the SVA mirror boss down about 10mm - there is plenty of mirror adjustment for the SVA. That would give more clearance for the deflector lower screw- and mounting block which also secures the pillar to the screen.

RE: Wind deflectors/SVA mirrors

Cheers Martin,

I'll make a note in my build doc so I remember to lower the mirrors.

Regards

Michael
